GENERAL RULES
Moderator (Mod): isolatedfox; Co-Moderators (Co-Mods): kanbi_shinzo, sawada_leo, harchi_rebel, amanda_evers, and lifexisaxgame
- Bashing, flaming, insulting, or condescending remarks will not be tolerated. Always respect your fellow role-players (RPers).
- Inform the Mod if you will be gone for an extended period of time or risk character deletion.
- Be sure to comment on other RPers' posts. Be careful that you are not commenting to just specific characters.
- Do not assume another character is where you say that are. For example, if you post about class, wait for the character to comment that they are in class before assuming they are.
- You may have more than one character, but you must send in an application for each character.
- Mod and all co-Mods have final say on characters, situations, and other aspects of the game. Disrespect will not be tolerated.
- Be prepared that your character might not always get their way. Some characters may even be mean to your character because that's just the tpe of person they are. It's not a personal attack against you.
- Upon character deletion, the Mod may choose to remove your character from the plot (e.g., expulsion, transfer, death) or the character may be put up for adoption. The Mod will gain all rights to your character(s) upon departure.
- Out-of-character posts belong on the OOC board: tokyo_high. Always use courtesy and respect. You must join both the RPG board (japanese_high) and OOC board (tokyo_high). The RPG will be used as the school's bulletin board. School announcements, questions of the week, and links to character posts can be found there.
POSTING GUIDELINES
- STYLE - Posts and comments should be done in third person, past tense. Posts should be more than one paragraph long. Ideally, you should be posting once every three weeks, but if there is character or plot development occurring in a comment thread, it is acceptable to go past the three week deadline. Also check spelling and grammar.
- SUBJECT LINE - Subject line of the post should include: day of the week, date, time/class period, location/class. Comments do not need to have anything in the subject line, though it is recommended for a post that has more than one thread containing different scenes. You may also include the classmates of your homeroom if commenting on a homerooms' projects post.
- MOODS, MUSIC, AND LOCATION - To be completed as your character, not as the RPer.
- CLASSMATES - When posting about a specific class, you MUST list the other characters in that class too. A list of classmates for each class can be found on the info page of the RPG Board.
- BACKDATING - Not allowed. You can only move forward with your character's posts. If you post about April 6, your next post can either be later in the day on April 6, or any date coming up. It cannot be about April 5. You are allowed to comment on posts from the previous dates, just be careful not to contradict something you already set up (e.g., being absent from school but later commenting on a post of that same day with the character in school). You cannot move on to a new month either until the Mod switches to the new month (it will be announced on the OOC Board).
- JOINT POSTING - Not allowed. Joint posting is when two or more RPers come together to write one post, similarly to the format of the fanfic. You may only move a character around in your posts/comments with permission of that character's RPer. Interactions should be done through comments. This also refers to IM role-playing.
POSTING RULES
- You may not control another player's character in your posts/comments. That includes assuming that character is in class and for fighting (e.g., if your character throws a punch, let the other RPer decide if their character gets hit, blocks, or dodges it).
- One-liner posts are not allowed. Again, posts need to be more than one paragraph long.
- Pointless posts are not allowed. Don't post just to beat the deadline. An example of this is the all-too-favorite of the character being in class bored. That is dry role-playing. We want content.
- Your character does not possess psychic abilities. You cannot read another character's mind nor all the details of their life.
- Your character cannot be in two places at once. Be careful when commenting that you aren't contradicting yourself in another post.
